Digital Twins are used frequently in UK factories, particularly among some of the larger OEMs, but how can they really help businesses now, and in the future? Brad Tomlinson, Technical Lead at BMW Hams Hall, explains more about his company’s Digital Twin methodology.
Brad is currently the Technical Lead of the Innovation and Digitalisation (I&D) team at BMW Hams Hall. He began his career at BMW in June 2019 as part of the Business IT Development team, focusing on Data Analytics and Business Intelligence within the Machining Quality function. He later undertook a secondment at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in Bavaria, where he contributed to the development of systems for product logistics traceability and facilitated technical knowledge exchange. Upon returning to Hams Hall, Brad took on the role of leading the integration and development of technical solutions to enhance the Quality Management System.
The conversation will continue at Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit, where high level industry speakers, like Brad, will be discussing the biggest talking points in industry today.
